Quail Hunting

If walking up behind a pair of intense, muscle trembling bird dogs knowing a Bobwhite is about to explode from cover gets you excited, then Wintergreen is the place for you. Since 1987 our goal has been to provide sportsman a place to hunt “gentleman Bob” in a setting reminiscent of the “good ol’ days”. The hunt takes place in secluded fields of natural cover and in pine woodlands. From the habitat, to the birds, to the guides, this is as good as it gets for preserve quail hunting.

 

          

*Season October 1-March 31

*Morning hunts 9am to 12pm

*Afternoon hunts 1:30pm to 4:30 pm

*No more than 4 people allowed per party, which includes the guide on guided hunts.

*Valid NC hunting or preserve license required.

            *There is no bag limit.

            *Hunter orange required.

            *Hunter’s dogs welcome.

$7.50 per bird released with a minimum of 10 birds per hunter.

$50.00 per person for dogs and guide.
